TIMMO

TIMMO…..

Size of board. 82mm Wide x 40 mm Height. (This board doesn’t fit onto 1590B! I’ll redrawn once i have time)

Sorry…i made this wider because i gonna use PCB mount POT. My lazyness to solder wire.

2s 2N7000 are optional and is not available in the pedal.

I build this with sound produced but it is more like a FUZZ than OD as i heard from clips around the net.

These are the comparison to the TIMMY.
> KIA4559P used. (Original is JRC4559)
> multi-dip / MYLAR cap used instead of the film type square box.
> no Silver Mica available here. I had tried 100pf CERAMIC and also 470pf both ceramic and squarebox.  100pF ceramic give very harsh sound. 470pF give smoother sound but to me it is still more to a FUZZ.
It sound awful with it alone but it sound wonderful when stacked with E-Love.

Everything else the same.  Perhaps that SILVER MICA is critical.
I will be very happy to redo this layout if someone can point out to me what is wrong here.

FlexiClipper - Easy Clipper Mod

Size of Board: 22mm WIDE x 21mm HEIGHT.
Easy clipper selector archieve thru DIP switch.
The challenge is to find a good place to mount this board in your current pedal.
There is 4 mods here: -

i) D1~D4 - 2 forwards 2 backward diode. (jumper if assy clipper is needed)
ii) LED Clipper.
iii) Mosfet+Ge Diode clipper.
iV) D9~D12 - another group of 2 forwards 2 backward diode slot. May used to config differently from group 1.

Crunch Box - Build Verified

> Size of board: 60mm WIDE x 33mm HEIGHT (This board doesn’t fit onto 1590B! I’ll redrawn once i have time)
> Try to use Multidip Capacitor or else you might have to bend the lead a bit.

> DP is protection diode. You may use 1N4148 / 914 / 400x.

> IC is LM833N for clarity (this is the original chip). JRC4558 & LM1458 is a bit mussy.
> Socket the IC and look for your sweet spot.

Eternity - Build Verified

Size of board: 56mm WIDE x39mm HEIGHT (1590B Box Ok!)
> For components with slash: the value are the “BURST-E” / “E”
> ”E” has only 1 diode (1n914 also) in the place of D3 / D4. You need to jumper the other one.
>  Square pads for diodes are for ANODE.
>  Space allocated for large body non polar output cap (C5), the main culprit for the larger board.
> Socket the IC for your to test out various DUAL OP-AMP.
> NE5532P, LM1458 and LF353 said to sound good.
> Try JRC4559 / JRC4560. The pedal was shipped with these chips for IC swap.

This is my build housed in a custome made, heavy duty steel box.

HOTCAKE03 - Build Verified

Size of board: 55mm WIDE x 29mm HEIGHT. (1590B Size Box OK)
The diode above the ic is 1n5238, 8.2v Zener for polarity protection.
I used B100K in the place of C50K. The control is reasonable good.
Square pad for the pot denoted the first lug.

Z(EN)-DRIVE - Build Verified

Size of Board: 54mm WIDE x  31 mm HEIGHT (1590B Sized Box OK)

Build verified.

D2 is extra slot allocated for different clipper mod. Jumper either D2 or D3.

D1 (Labeled as PROTECTION) is protective diode. It is not in the schematic.

Capacitor spacing are draw for MULTIDIP capacitor. esspecially the larger value cap, 104 & 474.
Need to bend the lead to suit if you are using Mylar or other type with larger body.

Square pad for POT denoted the first lug.

Reversed the MOSFET Direction if BS170 was used in place of 2N7000.
